The Spyderco Military 2 is an EDC (every day carry) knife for the discerning knife connoisseur and the long-awaited successor to the now iconic Military. The blade is made of CPM S30V steel, a steel with excellent durability and long sharpness retention. The blade is further equipped with the already well-known Spyderco hole for a one-handed opening. The Military 2 is equipped with a Compression Lock™ mechanism. Although often confused as a ‘LinerLock on the back of the handle, the Compression Lock is actually totally different. It works opposite to a LinerLock. This patented mechanism is also considerably stronger than most LinerLocks and the location of this lock makes the knife safe to close with one hand without putting your fingers in the way of the cutting edge. The handle is made of textured G10, which is a composite material with excellent abrasion resistance, a firm grip (even in wet conditions) and a subtle but luxurious appearance.
