The "Biopod DownWool-Hybrid Ice Cold" is an elaborately constructed sleeping bag with DownWool-Hybrid insulation, a sophisticated chamber construction and an integrated carbon heating element for emergencies. - DownWool hybrid construction for drier down : In conventional winter sleeping bags, moisture condenses on the inside of the outer fabric, drips onto the down and reduces its insulating power. In Grüezi bag®, a layer of Alpine wool ensures that the high-quality, RDS-certified European goose down (fill power 800+ cuin) stays dry. The wool layer draws the moisture away from the down and wicks it away to the outside. This means that the down remains protected from moisture from inside and outside and retains its strong insulating properties.
- Wider temperature range: DownWool hybrid sleeping bags have a wider temperature range in which you can feel comfortable. Wool evens out temperature fluctuations like a light natural air conditioner.
- More sleep, more energy: The body needs a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process thanks to its excellent temperature-balancing properties.
- Well thought-out cut for optimal freedom of movement: The comfortable cut allows the body to assume a relaxed position and thus ensures a peaceful, restful sleep. Even in the mummy shape you can sleep more peacefully, as you can turn both on your side with your leg bent and inside the sleeping bag.
- Light and small in pack size: Ultra-light, robust and recycled materials save weight.
- Avoiding cold bridges: A complex chamber system consisting of box and H-chambers (V-shaped), as well as additional side chambers, guarantees even heat distribution, prevents cold bridges and ensures that the down does not slip.
- Integrated carbon heating element: a backup for emergencies such as illness or a sudden drop in temperature (just 20 minutes of preheating is enough for the entire night.)
- Anti-slip studs: They prevent slipping off the insulation mat and thus ensure a stable place to sleep.
- Adjustable hood with face baffle: The heat baffle adapts perfectly to the shape of the head. When it is cold, only a small hole in the face remains open. This means less temperature loss in the face.
- 3D thermal collar: Closes automatically in the zipper area so that no cold bridge is created in the zipper area.
- Drawstring pocket: To ensure that the drawstring on the warm collar does not get in the way, it is safely stored in a simple drawstring pocket.
- Inside & outside pocket: For valuables and things you prefer to have close to you.
- Two-way autolock zipper: The zipper can be opened and closed from any end and from inside and outside. Auto-lock prevents it from opening accidentally.
- White zipper: This makes it easier to find the zipper in the dark.
- Zipper with anti-snag zipper and sturdy webbing underneath: This makes the zipper even easier to operate without pinching the outer fabric.
- Zipper with lined zipper cover: So that heat cannot escape and no cold bridges are created.
- Elaborately pre-formed foot box: With many chambers to avoid cold bridges and with plenty of space for the toes.
- Feater loops: The warming hip bag with heating element (Feater - The Feet Heater) can be installed additionally.
- Chamber construction: box chambers , H-chambers (V-shaped), additional side wall construction , AlmWolle layer construction on the top.
- Removable carbon heating element in the foot area: The heating element can be operated with a standard power bank (USB port is in the inside pocket) and is washable at 30 °C.
- Heating time: The heating element heats up to a maximum of 40 °C to achieve an optimal comfortable climate. Approximately 15-30 minutes are sufficient, after which the sleeping bag stores the heat and it stays warm inside for a whole night.
- Info: The operating time of a power bank with 5,000 mAh is approx. 1.8 hours / with 10,000 mAh approx. 3.6 hours.
- Anti-slip studs on the back: They prevent the sleeping bag from slipping on an insulation mat.
